Dr. Cássia Ramos Discusses the Impact of NR-1 on Corporate Management

NR-1 is now in effect, and mental health has officially become part of the corporate agenda. Beyond internal policies and documentation, inspections may also assess how the workplace functions in practice and how employees perceive their day-to-day work environment.

In an interview with EPTV Campinas, attorney Dr. Cássia Ramos highlighted that, at this initial stage, the tendency is for enforcement to have a more educational and advisory approach, allowing companies time to understand how to comply with the new requirements.

One thing, however, is already clear: psychosocial risks and organizational culture are no longer matters solely for the Human Resources department. They have become part of companies’ strategic discussions. Attention to these factors is expected to directly influence people management, the prevention of liabilities, and the development of healthier and safer work environments.
